Hallelujah, Doris Lessing!

British author Doris Lessing has received the 2007 Nobel Prize for Literature. She is only the 11th woman to receive the literature prize in its 106-year history. Lessing is probably best known for her 1962 masterpiece, The Golden Notebook, and for her Children of Violence novel series. Lessing received the Prize a week before her 88th birthday, and is the author oldest at the time of receiving the award.
