Mary Magdalene's Day
Today is the Mary Magdalene's Feast Day. Back in 2006 we wrote a post, "A Feast for Mary Magdalene," and in the last several days we have noted a number of visits specifically to that page and, at this writing, two comments added. So, since it seems to be an oldie but goodie, if you want to read it (again?) go here.

Hey, you inspired me to crack open Jane Schaberg's book - The Resurrection of Mary Magdalene. I am about half way through and wow am I ever getting a different perspective than the one I got a few years ago. Perhaps I have matured a bit. What I am sensing is that she was alot more than the Da Vinci Code romance which so many women have glommed onto. She is much more than a lover of Jesus. Very interesting. I had dismissed xanity, but women searching the texts and finding other ways of seeing it is fascinating.
Schaberg's book is excellent indeed. Glad to be the source of inspiration ;-)
