Matriarchal Studies Day and ASWM Conference
Matriarchal Studies Day 2014 will be held March 27, 2014 in San Antonio, Texas. It precedes by one day the Conference of the Association for the Study of Women and Mythology (ASWM), March 28-29 in San Antonio. These are two separate conferences requiring separate registrations but held at the same venue.
Matriarchal Studies Day presenters include Lydia Ruyle, Joan Chihon, Christina Biaggi, Lauren Rain, Miriam Robbins Dexter, and Vicki Noble. The theme of the Third National ASWM Conference is "Borderlands: Scholarship as Pilgrimage and Mystery." Keynote speakers are Jean Shinola Bolen, Sylvia Marcos, and Laura Fragua-Cota.
